Ota is an experienced Czech professional photographer based in Siem Reap since 2006. There is not a lot of photographers who are familiar with Angkor temples that well as he is. That’s because Ota worked with the Czech Archaeological Research Team, documenting their work in temples and learning about the history of the Angkor Empire, for a decade.
Ota offers instructional photography tours for those who want to learn more about their cameras, how to improve their skills, pictures and also about the history of Angkor Empire.
He will guide you through the Angkor Wat and other ancient temples, Siem Reap City and countryside, Tonle Sap Lake and floating villages, and of course unforgettable Kulen Mountains, showing you either the most famous touristic places, or areas where you can hardly meet any tourists.
Ota will tell you everything about camera handling and how to compose your picture. He will guide you through the best places and help you find the right angle and light when photographing buildings or statues. He also will tell you how to communicate with people while photographing their portraits. Let him teach you about full manual mode as well as aperture and shutter-speed priority, and of course, how to use ISO and metering modes.
I can custom tailor the Angkor Photo Tour just for you and your specific needs. I don’t do just “shoot and go” tours. In many years, I have learned about the history of these magical temples and the country, and I will be happy to share my knowledge with you.
Take advantage of special low season discount from April until October, the best time for shooting pictures in Cambodia.
Let’s have a drink
I always prefer to meet my clients personally, a day before the Angkor photo-tour (if possible). We can have a drink together and talk about your interests, expectations and mainly your photography skills.
Please, consider that the tour’s itinerary is not the must. It also depends how many pictures you will shoot in particular places and how much time it takes. We can change the schedule within the tour, so it will fit your abilities and requirements. Let’s take it easy and enjoy the tour.
Would you like to go for a photo-tour and you don’t have your own camera? I will lend you Canon 70D camera with a good quality lens Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 EX HSM.
Sorry, but I don’t run tours and workshops for clients with iPhones, iPads (or similar).
