Ota Photography Tours - pagoda-Chau Srey Vibol - Cambodia
Images – Night Shots

I tried to shoot night timelapse in ancient temple Chau Srei Vibol, but a heavy storm thwarted my work. So, I shot a picture inside of a small pagoda, which is beside the temple. It was a great time. Except of a few monks and dogs, nobody was inside, and light of candles created a surreal atmosphere.

Ota Photography Tours - Yoni in Ta Som temple
Images – Temples

Ta Som temple is famous for its well preserved carvings of devatas, Buddhas and the gate which is overgrown with a sacred fig. This is yoni. Lingam or a statue of Buddha should be based in the hole on top of it, but it is missing. Yoni and lingam symbolize a perfect harmony in Hinduism, the same as ying – yang mandala, for example. Together they are the highest deity of the Universe.

Giant faces of Bodhisattva in the famous ancient Khmer temple Bayon are well known. Hundreds and thousands of people from all around the world point their cameras and smart phones and shoot pictures every day. It is very difficult to find a new unusual view and angle in order to photograph it differently. I try, but how can I be sure that nobody else did it the same way before me. 🙂

Getting back home from shooting sunrise. I stopped my bike on the road beside a rice field and shot this. It was straight against the sun, so I didn’t expect a great result. But in the end, it wasn’t so bad, after editing the picture.
